About the Picture window
A picture window is a fixed, non-opening window built to do one thing exceptionally well: bring in light and frame a view. With no sashes to open, it offers the slimmest sight lines and the largest possible glass area of any window style.
The Reliable 5700 Picture Window is built on the same platform and all-welded construction as our Single Hung, sharing the same head profile. Because it has no operating hardware, a picture window typically achieves stronger air-tightness than a comparable operating window. Picture windows are often combined with Single Hung or Slider units in a single mulled assembly — a fixed center flanked by operating windows is a popular living-room layout.
